I have spent many years listening to the citizens of Ocean Springs, and I am eager to continue serving as their voice as the next Mayor of our great city! Together, we can restore trust in our local government through integrity and transparency while addressing the needs of EVERYONE in Ocean Springs. On April 1, 2025 I humbly ask for your vote for Mayor of Ocean Springs. – Bobby Cox
Communication - As Alderman At Large, I have consistently maintained open communication with the residents of Ocean Springs. If honored with the opportunity to serve as your Mayor, I will implement an open-door policy and remain accessible to all constituents.
Infrastructure - Reliable infrastructure is essential to the well-being of our community. As your mayor, I will prioritize identifying our infrastructure needs and develop a comprehensive plan to maintain, repair, replace, and expand it as necessary. Additionally, I will collaborate with our state and federal representatives to secure the funding needed. This includes improving roads, bridges, ditches, water systems, and sewer infrastructure.
Amenities - The amenities that Ocean Springs provides are a key part of what makes this such a wonderful place to live. If elected Mayor, I will prioritize maintaining and improving the condition of our existing amenities and public spaces. Along with enhancing what we currently have, I will also work with our Board of Aldermen to introduce new amenities for residents throughout the city. Great amenities are essential in enhancing the quality of life for our community.
Public Safety - I am a strong supporter of our first responders! As mayor, I will ensure they receive adequate funding and the necessary tools to protect our citizens. I will prioritize fully staffing our police and fire departments to maximize safety for everyone in our community.
Economic Development - Practical economic development is essential for the future of Ocean Springs. While I cannot overstate the importance of economic growth for our city, it’s crucial that we focus on attracting high-quality development that preserves the beauty and charm that make Ocean Springs so special. I will support small businesses and work to attract smart, sustainable growth with quality businesses that align with our community values.
Tourism - I will continue to support both the Ocean Springs and Jackson County Chambers to preserve the unique qualities that make Ocean Springs such a welcoming and wonderful place to visit. Additionally, I will collaborate with industry leaders to promote and expand tourism in our city.
